John Marsteller FSA, CERA, MAAA

Senior Consulting Actuary

 

John has over 25 years of experience in the life insurance industry.  This includes a variety of actuarial positions with small and medium-sized insurance companies prior to his current consulting role for ARC since 2010.  

 

As a Senior Consulting Actuary, John provides clients with the expertise that he has accumulated as an actuarial modeler working on the entire spectrum of financial products.  His broad range of experience includes being Lead Developer of Prophet’s US Library in 2014 and providing solutions to clients in the areas of asset liability management, Principle Based Reserve implementations, model conversions, and peer reviews. 

 

John greatly appreciates spending his time with his wonderful wife and three amazing kids, listening to music, traveling to the kids’ musical performances and sporting events, and enjoying the restaurants, activities and happenings in the Indianapolis area.

  • Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics, Wabash College

  • Master of Science in Mathematics, Tulane University

  • Fellow of the Society of Actuaries

  • Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst

 

Professional Involvement

  • SOA Examination Committee Volunteer since 2003.

  • Exam Chair for the SOA A.F.E Exam (2008-2011) and ERM Exam (Spring 2016)
