Tom has over 30 years of experience working with life insurance companies and state insurance departments on a variety of issues, including valuation, financial reporting, asset adequacy analysis, principle-based reserving, product review, reinsurance, capital management, and government relations. He served as Appointed Actuary for several life companies over an 8 year period. He has also actively participated in American Academy of Actuaries work and is currently the President of the Academy. He has accumulated a broad range of experience, as outlined below. His recent activities have focused on providing actuarial and regulatory support for insurance companies and other organizations.
